Sandra Schultz is board certified in general surgery with a specialization in breast disease. Dr Schultz treats each patient as an individual and is focused on comprehensive and compassionate care of her patients.
Dr Schultz offers advanced diagnostic services in her office including ultrasound and mammogram directed biopsies. Testing can be performed for hereditary breast cancers. A minor procedure room on site is available for skin growth removals.
Hospital procedures performed by Dr Schultz include colonoscopy and surgery for melanoma, thyroid, parathyroid, gallbladder and breast disease.
Deeply committed to the advanced treatment of breast disease, Dr. Schultz performed the first sentinel node biopsy, skin and nipple saving mastectomy and implanted the first partial breast radiation device in Gaston County. She maintains an active interest in oncoplastic surgery and participates in a Multidisciplinary Breast Care Center. Her patients have access to national and international clinical trials and protocols for the treatment of malignant breast disease.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She is also a retired Major, United States Army Reserve.
